Skillset TV Skills Fund
The Skillset TV Skills Fund makes money grants to training organisations to deliver courses and development activities that will benefit the UK television industry.
Freelancers make up over a third of the TV industry's workforce, but only a fifth of TV employers carry out training and development for the freelancers they employ, and this is usually on the job training.*
The Skillset TV Skills Fund is the result of an agreement between UK broadcasters and the Indie Training Fund to invest in training for the freelance television workforce. The contributors are: BBC, Channel 4, Five and cable and satellite companies, and the Indie Training Fund via contributions from member companies.
