Skills Implications of the Recession Questionnaire
Skillset is seeking the views of trade organisations representing the UK's creative media industries regarding the impact of the recession.
We want to act quickly to meet the needs of creative media employers so as to help them weather the recession. That's why we're undertaking this special survey now, outside of our main research programme, to be able to respond to the specific challenges that the recession is presenting.
Your response to our online questionnaire, which should take you 5-10 minutes to complete, will help us to identify:
- skills gaps and shortages* being experienced now and expected in the next 12 months
- recruitment issues and strategies
- changes to training provision.

Please respond as soon as possible, the survey will be open until mid May. The survey report will be published in the Research section of our website in the Summer and we will e-mail a copy to all those who responded.
*A skills gap is an area where individuals within the existing workforce have lower skill levels than are necessary to meet business or industry objectives, or where new entrants lack some of the skills required for them to perform effectively. A skills shortage is where there is a lack of adequately skilled individuals in the labour market.
