Size and shape of the Performing Arts industry
Jointly with Equity in 2005, Skillset conducted a large-scale survey of performers in Equity's membership, with the results published in the Skillset/Equity Performing Arts Industry Workforce Survey.
We discovered around 18,600 work in Skillset's footprint.
The survey results provide the perspective of perfomers on:
- Working patterns
- Training needs and experiences
- Qualifications
- Demographics
The data collected informs Skillset's own work and strategies, and the activities of Government, industry and training providers. Future work is currently in development to update this Labour Market Intelligence jointly with Equity and Creative and Cultural Skills.
