Apprenticeship Information for Training Providers

You can find a brief introduction to the framework here or if you wish to see more detail on the units that comprise the apprenticeship, please see the Apprenticeship Overview below:
The framework will be awarded by three major awarding organisations, and will comprise four main areas:

This six–unit certificate focuses on the workplace skills needed to get started in the Creative Media Industries, such as health and safety, forming productive working relationships, good professional behaviour and knowledge of the sector. Learners will gain these vital tools by analysing real–world businesses and legislation.
Competence Suite
Learners will choose from our suite of competence units to suit their intended focus, as well as the circumstances of the employer and training provider. Competence within a role is learnt and assessed ‘on the job', though certain tasks may be realistically simulated where practical. The competence suite covers the following areas, and has been designed so that as further units are developed to meet industry needs these can be added to the suite.

Knowledge Suite
The knowledge units consolidate ‘on the job' learning and deepen learners' understanding of a particular role or skill. They are taught and assessed in an academic setting such as a college or other training provider. Areas covered by this knowledge suite include:
