The Advanced Apprenticeship in Set Crafts is designed to give apprentices the skills to work in the film Industry, either as a set plasterer or set carpenter.

Advanced apprentices play an important behind-the-scenes role in film productions - this could include building platforms, assembling backdrops, plastering, and constructing other set pieces required for a specific performance.

The apprenticeship has been developed using a combination of components from the media, construction and the built environment industries, with an aim to develop the specific technical skills and know-how to work effectively in Plasterer and Carpenter roles on a film set.
