Health and safety skills are a priority for the film and television industries.
The same health and safety skills are needed across a range of creative sectors that are involved in film and television production. The Skillset TV Skills Fund and Skillset Film Skills Fund have pooled resources to provide funding for training in health and safety.
Creative Skillset has worked with industry to create the Health and Safety Framework, an agreement across sectors about which qualifications or training courses are needed for priority production roles. It means that training and qualifications you do with one employer will be recognised and valued by your next employer. Find out more about the framework.

Creative Skillset has health and safety grants for film or TV professionals to spend on a pre-selected range of courses covering key skills the industry is looking for in its workforce.

Creative Skillset has health and safety grants for you to spend on training. You'll get up to a maximum of £800 if you are a freelancer and up to a maximum of £500 if you are in permanent employment.
