Power to the Pixel

Don't miss this fantastic opportunity, apply now for Power to the Pixel's leading cross-media course - The Pixel Lab - beginning in July, just outside Berlin.

The Pixel Lab is a unique, project-focused business development course open to European media professionals, with teaching from the top international practitioners and innovators working in the cross-media space.

Learn how to create, finance and distribute stories that can span film, interactive, live event, mobile, gaming, TV, publishing, online.

Future-proof project development, company growth and increase your competitiveness in the international multi-platform marketplace!

Power to the Pixel will select up to 40 European producers, storytellers, filmmakers, creatives, decision-makers, executives to attend an immersive six-day residential workshop from 1-7 July 2012. Producers can apply with or without a cross-media project. Projects can be fiction or non-fiction.

Selected project producers also receive distance mentoring over the summer and benefit from a final workshop in London from 15-18 October 2012 encompassing:

  • pitch presentation training
  • free accreditation to PttP's Cross-Media Forum
  • project presentations to international media industry guests
  • business meetings with financiers and potential partners.

This year's tutors include Michel Reilhac, Executive Director ARTE France Cinéma (FR), Nuno Bernardo, CEO & Producer, beActive (PORT), Lance Weiler, Founder, Workbook Project (USA).  See full list of tutors confirmed so far for 2012.

ASSISTANCE WITH FEES

ARTE France is offering €1,250 for up to 3 French participants.

Power to the Pixel is offering additional bursaries - please see application form for details. Financial assistance is also possible through various regional funding bodies, a selection of which can be found on our website.

Application deadline is 6 April 2012 18.00 BST.

The Pixel Lab is supported by the Media Programme of the European Union, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, TorinoFilmLab, Skillset via its Film Skills Fund, ARTE.
