Promoting Diversity
Getting or keeping a job in the Creative Industries is a full time effort in itself.
If you have a disability, come from a minority ethnic background or have other barriers in your way when you're trying to get a job, then it can be even tougher.
Creative Skillset's latest research* shows that:
- Only 39% of Creative Media employees are women
- Only 6% of employees are from minority ethnic groups
- Employees with disabilities account for only 6% of the workforce
Our industry needs a more diverse workforce, and we are here to support that. We've produced a Diversity Policy, Strategy and Action Plan to set out our overall approach to diversity, both within Creative Skillset and in the creative industries. See below what this means for you.
