Organising an event?
If you're holding a careers event about careers in the Creative Industries you may wish to take advantage of some of our resources listed below.
We have produced a selection of factsheets that can add value to your event by providing your visitors with reliable careers information that will allow them to make the right career choices.
Factsheets available to download and print include:
We also have over 400 job profiles to view on our website many of which are available to download and print.
If you are interested in sourcing a speaker for your event, you may wish to enlist the services of one of our former careers advisors. They are industry professionals that have been trained to deliver careers advice, run workshops, advise on entry into the creative industries and they are available to offer their services on a freelance basis.
- For more information visit our page about freelance careers advisors.
Our National Occupational Standards (NOS) are an extremely useful resource for careers advisors and teachers advising on the creative industries. They are a great way of clarifying the exact skills required in each role and can be used to provide a framework for career planning.
- For more information on NOS please visit our Standards pages.
Skillset also has printed information on Apprenticeships and the Skillset Media Academy Network. Please e-mail janem@creativeskillset.org for more information.
Owing to capacity, we are not able to attend careers events organised by individual schools, colleges and universities. However, if you are organising a regional or nation event we would like to hear from you.
